MUSIC
Whilst working in the music industry, Tristan has made a name for himself as a session musician, solo performer and composer.
Spanning a wide range of genres, Tristan became known as a regular fixture in multiple touring bands and has performed at a variety of festivals, stages and theatres across Australia.
Below is a list of just a few of Tristan's current projects and bands.
BANDS
IMPROVISED MULTIMEDIA
FUNKGOD is Tristan's alter-ego and solo project. Conceptualised whilst working on his Honours thesis, this project blends music with live multimedia elements such as triggered video, visual effects and synthesised sounds.
This project seeks is the amalgamation of Tristan's musical influences visually an insight into Tristan's personal interests in current affairs. Drawing from styles such as Jazz, Metal, Rock, and Electronic music, FUNKGOD is an authentic culmination of Tristan's experience as a musician as human.
BIG BAND SWING | CABARET
Formally known as 'The Pits', RUFFIANS are Newcastle's very own biological rarities. RUFFIANS are packing the cabaret core caravan and the whole circus is coming to town, bringing the nostalgia of your angsty teen years and add a whole new flavour.
AUSTRALIAN PUNK
Jones the Cat have never been a band easy to fully categorise.
Their live shows are notoriously energetic, routinely ending with members bleeding and collapsing as they come off stage, yet the band has 6 tertiary music qualifications between its 4 members.
Stylistically, they sit nearest to Post-Emo, but range from dense, polyrhythmic spoken word pieces to 4 chord straight ahead punk songs.
CORPORATE EVENTS
Fronted by jazz vocalist and double bassist, Sarah Homeh, Keepsake entertainment is a customisable functions and events band run jointly by Tristan and Sarah. Whilst specialising in Post Modern Jazz, The Keepsakes are a one stop shop to suit all events, covering all styles for traditional jazz trios to 6 piece party bands.
NU-METALCORE
Delivering a captivating crossroads for chaos and composure, Sydney’s Aurateque blend Pop Punk-infused Nu-Metalcore with tinges of math rock, electronic and grunge for an all-encompassing explosive sonic cocktail.
GRUNGE | DISCO
PASSION DASH is a queer grudge-disco outfit from Sydney, taking crying in the club to a whole new level.
